This one was probably seen coming from a mile away, but Zoom is hiring. For those of you that are using other video services, Zoom has created a video communication platform (and sometimes hardware) that is at the forefront of user-experience and reliability. Zoom is currently at the forefront of remote working that has been expedited due to the current pandemic.
*We are customers of Zoom so you may sense bias in our writing*
Let me try to breakdown what Zoom does:
An easy to use, reliable video communication platform
Reasons why I like Zoom:
A publicly-traded company so that generally comes with stability and building a long-term vision.
The Glassdoor page is generally positive; it has a 4.7 overall rating (which is wild for a public company) and Eric Yuan has a 98% approval rating from his peers.
Eric Yuan, the CEO, was a long-time employee at Webex before leaving to start Zoom; to me, that is a major plus because he clearly saw gaps in the video communication market that he could solve.
Check out their customer advocacy page, pretty amazing to get these types of companies to publically endorse a product. (This is a great marketing and customer success practice that companies rarely execute)
This pandemic could lead to major changes in how the working world enables work-from-home. This could be a major tipping point and with that the stock price is up 144% over the last 3 months.
Remote work has seen a 300% increase in search volume according to Google Trends; expect this to come down a bit but this is certainly a moment for how we work.
It is not as pertinent now, but I think this gets into the psyche of the business; relatively speaking they raised ‘little’ capital for a unicorn and they did in long-cycles. Another item that screams stability and long-term growth to me.
Go to LinkedIn and be sure to connect with Ashley as she is a big part of customer success operations.
