Linode is a cloud hosting company offering customers on-demand access to Linux virtual servers on high-speed internet connections.
Here’s what I think they do (this one is tricky!):
They speak to the development side of the house - they try to make cloud hosting as accessible, affordable and simple as possible.
Five reasons that developers love Linode: Affordable Cloud Computing, Award-Winning Customer Support, Powered by Linux, Linode Data Centers and Linode APIs
Linode products, services, and people enable developers and businesses to build, deploy, and scale applications more easily and cost-effectively in the cloud. (taken from the website)

Why I like Linode:
The company is 16 years old and was really born after the first .com boom - there was great innovation born out of that time
Given the shift to digital and cloud that will be never-ending, this type of technology will always have a market
They serve a global market - over 800,000 customers across 196 countries - they’re not solely reliant on one geography, which creates for more revenue stability
They’ve got about ~$100MM in revenue from what I can tell - and they did not seem to raise any capital from my research. That is impressive.
According to LinkedIn Premium, there’s been an 11% increase in operations staff over the last year - they’re continuing to invest in the customer experience and outcomes
3.6 starts on Glassdoor and about a 75% positive rating for the CEO - generally above average numbers from what I can tell
