Senior Manager of Customer Success

Instructure is a learning technology company and the creator of the Canvas learning management system for K-12 and higher education. Instructure is searching for a Senior Manager to help lead two teams of CSMs that span Enterprise and Mid-Market customers.
What I think Instructure does:
Work across industries to help deliver learning experiences through technology
Seems like the core use case is working with K12 and Higher Ed to digitize their curriculum and student experience
They ventured into the corporate market to deliver employee experiences to help with career development
Why I like this opportunity with Instructure:
Their product should be flying off the shelves - given the current market conditions, they’re poised to capitalize on the education sector going digital
Publicly traded organization - I tend to think this lends itself to more stability than some of the startups, venture capital or private equity-backed businesses
Depending on where you are in your career - a 1,200 person organization. So this could be an opportunity to see how it’s done in a large organization.
They have a modest 3.2 rating on Glassdoor - but 100% approval of the CEO (which is rare to find). Also, go read some of the comments. Talks about growing pains.

Clearwave operates a healthcare network that allows medical facilities to authenticate insurance eligibility of patients.
What I think Clearwave does:
Improve the patient experience as it relates to hospitals - help digitize paperwork, approvals, etc.
Verify insurance directly upon check-in to help eliminate time and cost in the back-office
Keeping up with the times - shifting their experience to tablets and laptops so that facilities can be flexible
Why I like this opportunity with Clearwave:
They started in 2010, but it looks as if they didn’t take growth capital until 2019. To me that may point to bootstrapping, finding product-market fit and now they want to accelerate. Cool opportunity.
Frontier Growth is a well-respected equity firm in the space - lots of success stories and positive experiences
Healthcare industry is always ripe for opportunity and change - it can be slow to adapt but it is so vast that as long as you can capture any market share than you can be successful
Small sample size on Glassdoor, but favorable ratings and you can read through every review
Good article on the release of their new product just before COVID impacted our situation
