Cooleaf is an employee recognition and rewards platform that helps drive business growth and performance. This was a bit of a confusing one, as they’ve been around for 9 years and seem bootstrapped - if you are a little riskier than normal this could be a position for you as they might be poised for a run.
As I did some research here’s what I think they do:
Automate Incentives - measuring performance and using data has become paramount, well Cooleaf looks to measure that data against the ‘target’ and incentivize employees accordingly.
Redeem Points - with these incentives and points, there’s an online store where employees can turn their points into actual rewards
Create company-wide events - if you have a remote team, there are ways to band together team members for challenges that relate to the goals, core values, wellness, etc.
Measure the impact - reporting and dashboards give you insight into team performance and help you to proactively manage
AI - once it begins to learn your business and the metrics you achieve, it can start to recommend intended targets for team members
Here’s why I like Cooleaf:
Experience will still continue to be a key differentiator and the way you generate experience is through happy employees; large enterprise organizations will still employ tools like this to ensure they can deliver the best customer experience
The founders have worked in the healthcare space, which is incredibly demanding in terms of experience (both employee and customer)
They have worked with some leading enterprise brands such as Citi and Turner Broadcasting
They’ve been around for 9 years and seem to be a bootstrapped business (only raised <$500k according to Crunchbase); this may be counterintuitive to the times right now, but if you have survived 9 years then you have been making sound business decisions and keeping profitability top of mind. This also means you don’t have audacious Venture Capital or Private Equity pressure on you to hit numbers during this economic time.
Raj Choudhury is involved and is very well known in the greater-Atlanta area - he’s got a great marketing mind
They support remote work
