Aeris Communications
VP, Customer Success
Chicago
Aeris is at the forefront of the Internet of Things space, building networks and applications to enable Fortune 500 clients to fundamentally improve their businesses.
What we think Aeris does:
Aeris provides telecommunications network technology that helps organizations turn unconnected devices into engaging end-user experiences, data-driven insights, and subscription revenue.
Services a number of established IoT industries, they offer enhanced network access that provides reliability that their customers need for their devices.
Their technology solutions allow customers to instantly monitor connected devices across all networks providers and types.
Why we like Aeris right now:
IoT is expected to grow to a $19 Trillion industry over the 10 years. Infrastructure for this space is critical in order to support the market demand for connected devices.
With offices across the globe, Aeris has positioned themselves in the key markets that IoT devices are going to see explosive growth.
Their coverage maps ensure that devices using their networks, regardless of which type of cellular network they can access, successfully connect and create the experience that organizations want for their consumers.
In an industry that requires intense upfront costs, they are already profitable and operate on a model which is exceptionally customer-centric for the industry.
Syed Hosain is the founder and CTO - he’s allowed for Marc Jones to come in and play the CEO/Chairman position. Very telling that he was willing to focus on Technology and bring in somebody he thought might do better as CEO.
I’d dig heavily into the culture - there are not many positives when you search online. But they’re in an emerging industry and trying to become a market leader, so this could suit your style.

Remote
Tribe is a community platform that fosters engagement, collaboration for customers, leading to higher retention and LTV.
What we think they do.
Tribe allows people to collaborate within a branded community, whether that be as users of a particular software platform, service, or as members of a community dedicated to shared experience.
While they offer a number of coded features to help drive engagement, their API allows your team to customize the way in which the community is engaged and working together.
They integrate with just about every app/platform that you can think of, offering a seamless and intuitive experience for your customers and users. Seriously, check out this Integrations Page!
Why we like Tribe right now
Started in 2018 and they look to be bootstrapped - depending on your risk tolerance this is a great opportunity to get in
I personally am biased, because I love the platform and look. We’re not current users but it looks so intuitive that I want it to work.
Based out of Toronto - they’ve got lots of good things happening from a tech perspective
With so many people creating communities for leaders to learn from each other right now, this provides a unique experience for participants to collaborate on a tool designed for just that instead of social media.
They have great startup and enterprise logos on their site as referenceable customers, telling us that this is a great tool that adds value to any organization type.
If you check out reviews across multiple platforms, you will see that feedback from both organizations and their users is universally positive.
